Australian Line Dance Championships 2009
this post has been modified by Admin.
I have recently returned from Tamworth and, as in other years, attended the line dance competitions at “Calrossy”.
...
As a relative novice on the outside looking....
Is there not a training course that has to be taken by up and coming judges? I would have thought that as the entries came in that the judges would have to ensure that they knew the dances before competition started. To be guided on the day is, in my opinion, not good enough.
And I thought that a judge could only adjudicate for a certain period of time and then was required to take a break and be replaced by another judge. Last year and this year it appeared that every time I entered the hall there was the same member of the judging panel in attendance.
Some of the judges were very sloppily dressed and didn’t really look very professional. This competition is very important to those competing and more respect for the judges could be earned by better presentation of themselves.
Some teams who appeared (in my novice eyes) to be very good indeed were overlooked in favour of teams who were making mistakes in timing and were unco-ordinated in their arm positions.

Why?... 4th try
What’s happening???? Why is ADMIN editing posts??? What’s the use of even having a forum, if you’re not going to let people say what they want…... The first post that actually had some content to it, other than kids saying, Yay Tamworth, and it’s edited… What are we not ALLOWED to have a real discussion???
I read Cheryl’s post a few days ago… She had some valid points…. I thought she was quite diplomatic in her wording and can’t understand why it has been edited … She is entitled to her opinion. Her comments on topic’s such as Judges Ethics and Committee roles whether admin likes it or not, should remain for people to view as she had intended.
Obviously these are topic’s Admin does not want people discussing, as so far all replies to it have been removed.
